Future Foundry welcomes visitors to the Dover Print Market in Dover Town Centre as part of a series of Print Fair events in conjunction with the Dover Studio Collective and Dover Arts Development, celebrating the 9th Fête de l’estampe. Future Foundry work with young artists and designers to help them build careers in the arts.

Dover Print Market will bring young, old, new and experienced printmakers together to exhibit and sell their work. There will also be a chance for visitors to see printmaking demonstrations and have a go themselves. The event will be run in line with Covid-19 restrictions. Free entry/ Entrée libre

Due to pandemic safety restrictions, Dover Printfest events will be hosted in an online format for most of the activities planned in association with the Fête de l’estampe events taking place across Europe.

Open Call For Print Makers

PRINT FAIR 23 & 24 May 2020

Are you an artist? Or a printmaker?
Would you like an opportunity to sell your work?

As part of the Dover Printfest (16-31 May 2020), the Dover Studio Collective in partnership with Dover Arts Development and Future Foundry will be holding a print fair over the weekend of 23 and 24 May 2020 at Biggin Hall Dover. The fair will be an opportunity for artists and printmakers to showcase and sell original prints, cards and zines or folded books to the public.

Times: 10am-4pm

Submissions
If you would like to take part please send in your application by midnight on 20 April 2020. Group applications are encouraged and welcomed. You will be notified whether your application is successful by 26 April 2020.

What to include in your application:
• Your full name or list of names if applying as a group
• Contact Email address
• Contact number
• 5 images up to 2Mb in size that represent the work you will be bringing; if you bring very different work it may not be accepted on the day
• Name the files as follows: artistname_title of image and send them to info@doverstudio.uk
• If applying as a group then at least 1 image from each member of the group

Cost:
Stands cost £5 payable if you are selected.
Chairs and tables will be provided.

Dover Studio Collective will be running joint events with Future Foundry and The Dover Print Festival 2020 will take place across two venues:

Tuesday 26th: The Big Print 11.00-16.00

Dover Studio at 67 Astley Avenue, Dover, Kent CT16 2PW
Thursday 21/5: Drawing into print workshop 11.00-16.00
Friday 22/5: Frottage and monoprint workshop 11.00-16.00
Saturday 30/5 & Sunday 31/5: Open Studio 11.00 – 16.00

There will also be two themed workshop days at the Dover Studio:
Thursday 21/5 – Drawing into print with Marcia Teusink
Friday 22/5 – Frottage and mono print with Amanda Theisiger

Inscriptions ouvertes / Opening of registrations:
Over the years, the success of this festival has made it an unmissable event in the cultural calendar. La Fête de l’estampe provides a festive opportunity for many to discover this rich art that includes lithography, engraving, serigraphy, artists’ books and even digital prints. Exhibitions, outdoor studios, training sessions, open studios, conferences, performances, auctions, giant prints,… were organised in France and in many other countries in Europe on 26th May, 2020, for one day, or longer in some areas. Any event related to printmaking open at least one day between 15 and 31 May can participate.
